The Alewife Shuttle for Waltham and Lexington connects Alewife Station on the MBTA Red Line with member companies in the two communities. Download the latest shuttle schedule.

Pick up the Alewife Shuttle at the rear of the Alewife MBTA Station. Follow the hanging signs to the "Passenger Pickup" area.

Please Note:  Morning pickups at locations other than Alewife are not allowed.  Morning dropoff locations are indicated below.  The bus only stops at these locations in the morning if a passenger is going to that location.  If there are no passengers for a particular location, the bus will not stop at that location.  Arrival times are not indicated because not every bus stops at every location.

Fares

  • Discounted fare of $2.50 is available to employees of participating companies. RED ID card req'd.
  • Ten (10) ride pass available with RED ID card for $25.00
  • Monthly passes (4-ten ride passes) receives a 10% discount ($90.00). Passes can be purchsed on the bus.
  • Non-discounted, regular fare of $4.75 will be charged to any rider without member identification. Ten ride passes can be purchased for $47.50 (no discount for multiple-pass purchase).

  • Fourth of July Holiday
  • Labor Day
  • Thanksgiving Day
  • Day after Thanksgiving
