Snow Policy

The 128 Business Council will make every attempt to accommodate shuttle riders during inclement weather.

During snowstorms, the 128 Council Connection service will run on a regular schedule. Only during snow emergencies (declared by the Governor of Massachusetts) will the shuttle service be cancelled.

Please be patient during snowstorms, realizing that weather and road conditions generally create a problem for the shuttle buses. As always, we make every attempt to be on time, however, due to situations beyond our control, the shuttle may run behind schedule.

Upon the occurrence of a severe snowstorm during the workday, the 128 Business Council may provide a 3:00 p.m. Severe Snowstorm Special Shuttle to member companies. The following conditions apply to the scheduling of a 3:00 p.m. Severe Snowstorm Special Shuttle:

  • The 128 Business Council reserves the right to decide what constitutes a severe snowstorm and if a Severe Snowstorm Special Shuttle run is necessary.
  • We must receive a written faxed or emailed request for an early shuttle by a member company’s transportation coordinator no later than 12:00 p.m. on the day in question.
  • Due to seating availability, we can accommodate member company employees only.
  • Riders must present their 128 Council Connection Identification Card or Company ID upon boarding the Severe Snowstorm Special Shuttle.
  • In the event that a 3:00 p.m. Severe Snowstorm Special Shuttle is scheduled, the last run(s) may be eliminated.
  • In the event that only one company requests an early release, that company will be charged for the run.
  • Information regarding the Severe Snowstorm Special Shuttle is disseminated through the member company’s transportation coordinator.

Please do not call the 128 Business Council or M&L Transportation Services for shuttle information during snowstorms. Individual calls tie up our phone lines, hindering our communication efforts in coordinating special shuttle services. Your company transportation coordinator should be your contact.

For those riders on the email notification list, watch your e-mail for information regarding shuttle service. (To be added to the email notification list, send your email address to 128bc@128bc.org)

Thank you for your cooperation.
